Family Abuse Prevention Council
The Stanford University Medical Center Family Abuse Prevention Council (FAPC) is a chartered group of representatives from SHC, LPCH and the School of Medicine. It is mandated with adressing the issue of patient and employee family abuse at the medical center. Meetings are held once a month. For information about joining, please send an email.
The first priorities of the council are to coordinate hospital and clinic family abuse screening processes, standardize and distribute patient materials, and oversee education and training of medical center staff.
